Capri's Lido del Faro: fun in the sun, from dawn until dusk!

There's only one place on the island of Capri where you can swim in the sun from dawn until dusk and that's Lido del Faro: a beautiful bay of turquoise blue water, sun decks nestled between the rocks, a gourmet restaurant and, every evening, the magnificent sight of the sun setting over the sea.
An incredibly scenic walk along the southwestern coast of Capri, past the blockhouses built by the British to defend the coast of Anacapri, leads sun worshippers to Punta Carena, the island's lighthouse, and the Lido del Faro. Once here, it's easy to understand why the bay is considered to be among the most beautiful on the island: a pool of turquoise blue water, framed by sun-bleached rocks.
After a day at Lido del Faro, we're sure you'll agree with us
that this is the most beautiful place on the island of Capri!
Location
Lido del Faro is located in Anacapri, on the tip of the Punta Carena promontory, at the foot of the island's lighthouse ('Faro' in Italian).
You can get to the Faro from the center of Anacapri by local bus, by car, or on a scooter, which can be parked free of charge in the square next to the lighthouse.
In high summer, you can also reach the Faro by boat: dropping anchor just off shore and waiting for the shuttle boat to bring you to the Lido.
